I just hate that it has to be said at all.
Unfortunately, it comes down to one very simple thing.
The people against gay rights don’t only hate gay people.
They hate anyone who isn’t just like them.

The so-called “conservatives” in the United States have turned into the very things they claim to have despised at the turn of the 20th century. For proof of this, look no further than how Susan B. Anthony exhorted her colleagues and associates to join the Republican party. Not only would Anthony not be welcomed into today’s g0p (which is not to be confused with the GOP of Eisenhower’s time), but she would actively shun THEM.
I was saying this twelve years ago, and it’s only gotten more true over time. The mindset of the far-right-wingers that have usurped the Republican Party can be summed up thusly: “If you’re not just like us, we won’t allow you to be with us, and if you’re not with us, you’re against us.”
Just my 2p worth. Save up the change for a new USB drive or something.
